In-Person New Student Orientation Session (August 25 and 26)
Our in-person orientation sessions are an incredible opportunity for those who thrive on hands-on experiences. These sessions are optional but highly encouraged and welcome all new students.
Join us for an action-packed orientation where you will:
- Dive into essential info about your pre-arrival checklist, student services, and campus life.
- Participate in fun social activities designed to help you connect with peers.
- Enjoy a guided campus tour to navigate key locations and facilities.
Online Workshops (August 25 to 27)
Dive deeper into key topics with our online sessions, including D2L—the learning management platform used by 鶹ýӳ—and Library Services. These sessions are led by 鶹ýӳ specialists and offer flexibility and convenience, allowing you to participate from anywhere.This fall, our online workshops include:

- This session is perfect for students new to Desire2Learn (D2L), 鶹ýӳ’s online learning platform, or those with questions about its features.
- What you’ll learn: How to navigate D2L, access courses, set up notifications for updates, forward your email, and request support if needed.
- More Than Just Books: Making the Most of Your Library
- Discover how the library can support your academic success.
- What you’ll learn: How to proactively seek librarian assistance and utilize library resources for assignments, projects, and exams.
- College Survival Tips: Managing Your Studies
- Get practical strategies for balancing coursework and developing a productive routine.
- What you’ll learn: How to prioritize tasks, create a class schedule, and manage stress and time effectively.
